DataCleaner job - tester
DataCleaner is an exciting java application for improving data quality. The overall way to do this is by profiling data, comparing data, validating data against business rules and scheduling these tasks to monitor them continously. The application stack consists of four modules: * core ~ the core library containing the framework for the application. * gui ~ a Swing based GUI for doing desktop work with datacleaner. * resources ~ a package containing example-data, config files etc. * webmonitor ~ a future webapplication for scheduling and monitoring. We are looking for testers in a number of categories: * Database testers who test and document the functionality of DataCleaner on various databases. In our development setup we use the Apache Derby database and we have also tried out other databases, but a structured approach to this would be very beneficial for the project. * Unittesters who want to fill in the gaps of our code coverage reports. * GUI testers who test the graphical user interfaces and provide feedback as to improvements of the design of these. The project is scheduled for a version 1.0 release in april 2008 and we are currently working hard on the GUI and core modules. After 1.0 we will begin with the webmonitor, but in general we try to make up the project plans around the members of our team so you will have a lot to say.
Go to the DataCleaner page for more information.
