Sandbox projects

Frederick Brooks once said these known words about prototyping and innovation of software:

"Plan to throw one away, you will anyway"

At eobjects.org we believe that this is often true - you have to give some projects a shot before you can eventually say if they are successful or not!

Projects

Here's a list of our current Sandbox projects:

• AnalyzerBeans, an attempt to rethink the "engine" of DataCleaner - java components ("beans") used for analyzing a datastore.
• DataTransformer, a small, embedable and testable ETL tool based on MetaModel for querying and Hsqldb for transformations.
• ChronicleDroid, an application and framework for generating historical data.
• TableAgent, a query optimizer for transparent use of aggregate tables.
• QueryParser, an SQL-query parser that transforms query strings into Query-objects like those of MetaModel.

SVN activity

The eobjects "Sandbox projects" are used to encourage such experiements. You will perhaps notice the keyword SandboxProjects in some of our SVN revisions. These SVN revisions are related to such projects.
